Overview

The camp is made up of six tents with ensuite facilities and a lounge, set among springs frequented by elephants, waterbuck, impala, giraffe and leopard. Mila Tented Camp is recognized for its spectacular scenery and variety of resident wildlife.

An important feature of the Mwiba Wildlife Reserve is its extensive fresh water spring systems, which provide convenient venues for game viewing. The springs range from small trickles to large pools, some of which are large enough for swimming.  Several ground and tree blinds have been erected at various locations on the reserve to allow different game viewing experiences. A picnic can be enjoyed under the leafy canopy while you watch the game go by.

For the more adventurous, an overnight stay on one of the tree platforms can be arranged. Game driving is available during the day, as well as at night to view nocturnal species.  Walking safaris to explore the rocky outcrops and kopjes on the reserve is also a popular activity.

Bush dining and sundowners at Mila Tented Camp are highly recommended. A breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner or a lantern lit sundowner stop are considered highlights of any safari.

Recently discovered ancient rock art is worth a visit for those interested in the history of Mwiba.
