Overview

Little Vundu Tented Camp is situated 3km upstream from Vundu, making it well located within the boundaries of the Park on the banks of the Zambezi.  With its own secluded area, Little Vundu is designed for those looking for the traditional tented camp safari experience.

The camp is divided by a channel, over which we have a footbridge, with the tents on one side, the dining area on the other and a view of the main Zambezi about 75 meters away.  The five tents are large 4mx5m walk in with two twin beds, each has an en suite, open air bathroom with thatched grass walls, flush toilets and bucket showers.

As at Vundu we offer game drives and walks from camp in the mornings and in the afternoon guests can enjoy canoeing.  We also go out for the day taking a packed lunch to be enjoyed whilst overlooking a pan on a day vehicle/walk safari, or on the river.  Evening meals are enjoyed under the stars, the food is wholesome home style cooking made in a simple kitchen over a wood stove and open fire.

The camp is very active with animals, with elephants coming down to drink and feed on the green grass along the channel, before churning up the mud and having a bath.  The wild dogs, leopards, lions and hyenas all pass through the area frequently.  Little Vundu has excellent fishing right off the banks at camp.
